Thank you for your interest in the School of Body Therapies. We are a state-licensed private school located in Langhorne (Lower Bucks County), Pennsylvania.
We offer a quiet, comfortable, yet professional setting and small classes, both of which provide an excellent environment for learning the skills needed in the art of healing and relaxation. The coursework offered prepares you for an entry-level position in the exciting and expanding field of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
We are proud to offer a 600-hour diploma in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork for $12,000. Books and supplies are not included.
Visits to the school are made by appointment only.
The School of Body Therapies is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to convey a diploma in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork when 600 coursework hours are completed.
Our 600-hour program gives you a wide variety of courses for excellent education fully preparing you for a rewarding career in massage therapy.
Diplomas are awarded when:
1. Written examinations earn grades of 70% or higher.
2. Attendance is satisfactory.
3. Clinical work is graded satisfactory or passed by the instructors.
4. All tuition and fees are paid in full.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
A personal interview with the School Director.
A completed, signed Enrollment Agreement and payment of the one-time $150 registration fee.
Registration closes on an average of two weeks prior to the start of each class.
The School reserves the right to refuse admission where advisable.
Physically challenged individuals are invited to apply, but motion or manual dexterity-impaired persons may not be able to fill practical requirements.
Work missed due to excused absence or lateness may be made up through special arrangements with the director or instructor. Work missed due to unexcused absence may also be made up, but additional fees may be incurred.
Students withdrawing from the program up to five calendar days after signing an Enrollment Agreement, but prior to the start of class, will have all money refunded except for enrollment fees. Books may also be returned for a refund if fully intact as new. If a student enrolls and withdraws after the start of the semester the following will apply:
1. Within the first week (seven calendar days), the student will be refunded 75% of the tuition.
2. After seven days, but before the 13th lesson (of 51), the refund will be 55%.
3. After the 13th lesson, but before the 26th lesson, the refund will be 30%. If during or after the 26th lesson, there will be no refund.
Candidates for transfer will be taken on a case-by-case basis contingent upon prior education. Prior schooling must be from a state-licensed facility for any review process.
The School reserves the right to dismiss any student without a diploma for:
1. Failure to pay tuition.
2. Excessive absence or lateness.
3. Grades below 70% on written tests.
4. Unsatisfactory clinical performance.
5. Behavior that is inappropriate for a therapeutic learning environment.
The School does not provide placement services for its graduates. Reference letters, however, will gladly be provided when requested by our alumni.
